Naptime Pillow

Know someone who could use a pick-me-up? Destined to become the official sponsor of naptime, this throw pillow grants permission to pause and reset with a siesta! The design was inspired by that delicious drifting-off-to-dreamland state, when the line between fantasy and reality blurs. A real-life sculpture of a giant crown growing out of the ground in a peaceful park blends into patterns that evoke medieval tapestries.

Above and below the crown, lines in calligraphy read like a royal proclamation at the end of a modern-day fairy tale: "And so it shall be done, / happily after naptime." (Text by Emily Ruth Hazel.)

The imagery was created from a photograph of a sculpture with the aid of digital mirroring techniques. The back of the pillow is fully patterned, with four-way reflections of the gold crown and greenery repeating in miniature.

When inserting pillows into accompanying pillow cases, please be aware that inserts may appear slightly misshapen upon unpacking. (Most of us get a little bent out of shape from traveling in close quarters!) Don't worry—a bit of manual adjustment and a few days of regular use will help your pillows settle into their normal, fluffy shape.
